About the Event

This year's summer opening for the museum promises to be unique (in more ways than one). We're excited to announce our first farmers market, which will be stationed next to the museum on opening day. In addition, we will also have a visiting blacksmith, who will provide a demonstration of his blacksmithing skills, tools, and expertise.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this year's summer kick-off will be different than past years. While the museum normally opens its doors to the public in the first Saturday of May, we regretfully announce that the museum opening, the farmers market, and the blacksmith demonstration will all be postponed until further notice. Once it is safe to do so, we'll announce a date on which all these events will resume. Please check back here periodically. When everything is back to normal we hope to see you there!
