Cheney House Research Center and Library

The research center and library are generally open M-Th, 9 am - 2 pm,
and
occasional Saturday mornings. Please call ahead to make an
appointment and to verify hours.

Our archival collections and genealogy files focus on the area in and
immediately surrounding the town of Manlius, NY, which includes the
villages of Manlius, Fayetteville, and Minoa.

Members of the Manlius Historical Society are allowed the use of
research facilities, free of charge.
There is a
research fee of $5.00 for Town of Manlius residents and a
suggested donation of $10.00 for others.  


MHS is able to fill research requests on a limited basis. There is a fee of
$15.00 for an hour of research with no guarantee that any information
will be found. Inquiries requiring more than an hour of time will be
fulfilled if there is time available. Please contact the director at
MHSdirector@aol.com with research requests.

Individuals interested in a general history of the area should consider
purchasing our publication,
People and Places- Fayetteville, Manlius,
Minoa, & Neighbors,
a three volume set featuring vignettes and
historical accounts of the founding of the town of Manlius.
